BRINDISI – There are still difficulties in the accommodation situation of firefighters who are operating in the province of Brindisi, on the occasion of the G7. In recent days the unions have denounced the conditions of serious hardship faced by the staff. The Puglia regional secretary of the Federdistat Vvf Cisal, Antonio Tragni, also spoke today. Through a letter sent to the Undersecretary of the Interior Emanuele Prisco and to the national and regional leaders of the Fire Brigade.
“We are informed by the staff that several hours after the start of the global event called ‘G7’, which involves the Brindisi Command – writes Tragni – delays persist in the logistical arrangement of the workers”.
“Unfortunately, it is sad to note that our firefighters employed in the province of Brindisi – continues Tragni – were not guaranteed the minimum requirements of liveability and healthiness to carry out their institutional service in the best manner of decency and decorum”.
“We therefore ask – he concludes – for an urgent and immediate intervention in order to guarantee our staff the working dignity deserved in the field with dedication and honor”.
