A significant quantity of drugs, 14 kilos, was found and seized by the Financial Police of the Provincial Command of Bologna during an intervention carried out last 2 June by the Fire Brigade at a property in Finale Emilia due to a suspected gas leak. During the operators’ activities, the presence of small packages containing traces of a white powdery substance had not gone unnoticed inside an apartment. The staff on site had requested the intervention of the Financial Police to ascertain the situation.
The searches that followed made it possible to verify the obvious suspicions: they were doses of cocaine. The financiers managed to identify over 14 kg of drugs, divided into 10 blocks and 3 bags containing the narcotic in “stones” ready for subsequent processing.
A real clandestine laboratory used for the storage and “cutting” of the narcotic, as well as molds reproducing the logos of well-known fashion brands (used to brand the various batches of drugs), cutting substances, a hydraulic press for the production of individual blocks and bottles of acetone.
A thirty-year-old of Albanian nationality, who arrived during the search at the property he had access to, tried to leave furtively upon realizing the presence of the military, but was immediately blocked and arrested in the act of committing the crime of detention for the purpose of drug dealing amazing. On him the measure of house arrest in a different location from that of the discovery of the narcotic.
