The “Jaén Selección” 2024 extra virgin olive oils were tasted by chefs in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, made public last night during the gala of this important gastronomic event held in Las Vegas. The participation of these oils in the event “was a great opportunity to promote them in haute cuisine, with the large number of journalists from all over the world participating and the careful organization of the event, the main showcase for cuisine from all over the world. world”, underlined the councilor for Promotion and Tourism, Francisco Javier Lozano, who went to the American city to take part in the promotional action.

The eight AOVEs of Jaén with this 2024 brand -Oro Bailén Picual, OliBaeza, Puerta de las Villas, Esencial Olive, Azorla, Tierras de Canena, Jabalcuz Premium and the ecological Melgarejo- had a specific stand in the area where they were the award-winning chefs gathered, where a meeting was held between councilor Lozano and those responsible for some of the oils that carry this 2024 quality mark – such as Oro Bailén, Puerta de Las Villas, Oleícola San Francisco and Tierras de Canena–.

Oriol Castro, Mateu Casañas and Eduard Xatruch, of the Disfrutar restaurant, recognized this year as the best in the world; Aitor Arregui, from Elkano, in 28th place in the ranking; Andoni Luis Aduriz, from the Mugaritz restaurant in 81st place, were some of the chefs who tasted Jaén EVOOs at the promotional stand set up as a prelude to this important international gastronomic ceremony.

“Tonight we were able to share the space with these chefs and offer everyone the opportunity to taste this liquid gold, which left no one indifferent and was also in each of the bags collected by the more than 400 people who participated in this event,” he said Lozano, who expressed satisfaction with “the great presence of Jaén Selección oils” in this internationalization action “in which Jaén oil was represented with its eight best oils as part of a clear strategy to position this product among the best restaurants in the world”.

Lozano underlined “the important success” of the various promotional actions of Jaén Selección that have developed in recent days in Las Vegas “as well as the success of Spanish gastronomy in this gala, which has achieved great representativeness, with the presence of three restaurants -Disfrutar, Asador Extebarri and Diverxo– among the five best in the world”.
