A season to remember, a virtuous path full of wonders from week to week
This is the story that accompanied the Dillinger team with president Pino Arcuri in the Lusingadores Lamezzo championship.
24 games played, 1 defeat, 2 draws and then only and exclusively victory after victory.
And more victories. Thanks to whom?
Obviously the stories of triumphs start from coach Umberto De Fazio, a strong man who decided to get involved on the bench and entrust the fate of his future to his friends. Prosperous, undoubtedly.
Enviable, solid defensive organization entrusted to the management of Giuseppe Cerra (goalkeeper) author of a splendid and exciting season.
In midfield turnkey Matteo Muraca, a player of immense technical flexibility and capable of influencing the metronome of the team that became champions.
Lots of quality and substance up front: Luigi De Fazio’s plays shine, Arcuri stamping and re-stamping form that perfect mix that leads the 1997-born striker to finish with 34 goals. Sorry if it’s not much.
Now Ancona and we dream.
Tomorrow, June 14, the team will fly to Ancona, where the final stages of the 7-a-side football championship will take place.
Dillinger arrives at it with enthusiasm and with the light-heartedness of someone who has already accomplished a miracle in abundance.
He did it because with the joy of playing, with the crazy desire to take to the field typical of children, in this sport, you can beat anyone.
And then Ancona can only be one stage of an exceptional journey to remember and tell about to future generations.
All this, thanks to the guys from Lamezia who focused on themselves. And they won.
