The man who caused the carambola was injured, firefighters intervened to extract him and make the gas pipeline safe
This morning at 10.15am the Civitavecchia Fire Brigade intervened for a road accident in Allumiere, in the central Via Teodolfo Mertel.
A man driving a medium-sized car, for reasons still under investigation, lost control of the vehicle and collided with other cars.
Such a situation has arisen that the intervention of Bonifazi’s men has been necessary.
Having arrived quickly on site, they began extracting the driver with the help of the cutting unit, shears and spreader.
Once the man was freed, the firefighters handed him over to the care of the 118 health personnel present on site. They subsequently secured the vehicles and the surrounding area.
Following a careful inspection of the affected area, the Fire Brigade found that a car had lightly hit a gas pipe.
The intervention of the Italgas team was therefore necessary to avoid further damage. The Carabinieri, Provincial Police (who raised the alarm by isolating the area) and local Police were present on site to investigate the case.
