UDINE (ITALPRESS) – “We would like to assign a mission to the ERT: that of acting as an interpreter, in the diffusion and theatrical production, of the frontier culture of which Friuli Venezia Giulia is the protagonist. We are a polycentric, pluralist and welcoming region, and our vision of culture shares different and non-monotonic visions, in which the unity of visions finds a common denominator precisely in the theme of the border”. These are the words of the deputy governor with responsibility for Culture Mario Anzil who this morning in Udine took part in the preview of the theater season of the regional theater body which involves a circuit of 28 theaters in Friuli Venezia Giulia. “The Region – said Anzil – supports Ert with conviction and for this reason we have implemented the regional financial contribution to the Institution and we will integrate it with further resources in the July adjustment. Friuli Venezia Giulia is the first region in Italy for investments in culture , a trend that is bearing good fruit: even the regional public, in fact, is the third largest in spending on culture in Italy, in a virtuous circuit that sees a double increase in investments”.

Anzil then thanked Ert for “the work done which allows us to enjoy excellent shows even in the smallest town and to combine the most important productions with support for local productions”. At the opening, the president of Ert Fabrizio Pitton took the floor and expressed satisfaction with the season recently concluded with 263 evenings held, the result of listening to the territory, of which Ert is an expression and example of widespread democracy based on a relationship with municipal administrations and local associations. Director Alberto Bevilacqua highlighted how the Ministry and local administrations integrate the great support of the Region which is the distinctive element compared to other Italian realities. Also worth highlighting is the bringing together of businesses through the Art Bonus system and the support of Credifriuli. “The live entertainment network” is the message that will accompany the 24/25 program made up of over 70 shows for more than 250 performances, including prose, music and dance. Some of the prominent performers anticipated today are Massimo Lopez and Tullio Solenghi, Lella Costa, Neri Marcorè, Alessandro Bergonzoni, Pierpaolo Spollon, Massimo Daiuto, Maddalena Crippa, Milena Vukotic. Among the directors worth mentioning are Peter Stein who will direct Nervous Crisis, or Three One-Acts by Anton Chekhov, and Serena Sinigaglia with Euripide’s The Suppliants. The balance of the season just ended (a single final event is scheduled for 6 July in Forni di Sopra) records 5,500 season ticket holders and 62,060 total attendances, compared to the 5,329 and 59,751 of the previous season. There were 263 evenings in the 28 theaters of the Circuit (there were 238 in 22/23) and it is worth mentioning the excellent reception given to the two shows introduced for the first time last November, Altri Linguaggi and In Scena! which will be proposed again, with some adjustments and additions, also in the next season. photo: Friuli Venezia Giulia region press office (ITALPRESS). tvi/com 13-Jun-24 14:08 .
