There is a film made up of some images that reconstruct the path taken by Roberta Beckmann Hoffman up to the staircase of the Quadrelle viewpoint, from where the 35-year-old fell from a height of seven metres. She was alone that last Friday evening. The video, together with the autopsy results, could clarify the mystery of the girl’s death. A tragic accident.
The 35-year-old may have fallen from the wall accidentally while he was taking photos of the sunset. Or she may have been suddenly struck by an epileptic seizure (a pathology from which she had suffered since she was little) which made her fall down. In the meantime, we are awaiting clearance from the medical examiner and the magistrate’s order to release her body and hand it over to her family. Roberta Beckmann Hoffman will be cremated by family decision. Her parents await her ashes in Brazil. And from the friends of the Mandamento a message of affection and condolence: “We will always remember you with your sunsets”.
The footage was processed by the Carabinieri of the Baiano Company and the Investigative Unit who collected a series of frames extrapolated from the video surveillance cameras in the area. Images in which the young 35-year-old Brazilian is immortalized before she fell from the wall of the lookout in Fusaro. Nine cameras were viewed from which the girl’s movements could be reconstructed. Added to these investigations are the analyzes of the traces found on the site where the 35-year-old flew down.
The video findings will be compared with the results of the autopsy examination which took place the day before yesterday at the Moscati hospital morgue. Multiple fractures and significant head trauma were found on his body. You will have to wait thirty days to receive the doctor’s report on the necropsy findings. It will thus be possible to clarify the mystery of an affair that has kept the communities of Quadrelle and the entire district in suspense for five days. The coroner Giovanni Zotti carried out the necropsy tests and was commissioned by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Avellino (the holder of the file is the magistrate Cecilia Annecchini).
Roberta’s 25-year-old brother, Eduardo Semirucha Hoffmann, who came to the city from Dublin where he has lived for years with some family members, attended the procedure. The young man was accompanied by the lawyer Cristina Mancini who he is giving maximum support to the family both on a moral level and for the various bureaucratic procedures. A drama that has thrown family members and the population of the Baianese area into despair. “We want the truth”: this is the request of her brother Eduardo who will remain in Irpinia until the procedures are concluded. Another of Roberta’s brothers, Ayrton Pablo Hoffman, is also following the story. The family was contacted by the Embassy of Rome.
Roberta’s ashes, after cremation, they will return to his homeland. Roberta Beckmann Hoffman had been in Irpinia for a short time. You resided for a few months in the municipality of Quadrelle. She had also started the procedures to obtain Italian citizenship. She was romantically linked to a man originally from the district. She was domiciled in Monteforte Irpino and worked at a restaurant in Avella as a cook. Her passion was photography. A few minutes before her death he had taken some spectacular images from the Quadrelle viewpoint which included the panorama of Mugnano del Cardinale and the Del Litto castle. Her artistic images shared by eleven thousand followers. After publishing three photos, she then fell from the wall, flying seven metres.
