«The 5 per thousand to the Lega del Filo d’Oro will allow us to give more answers to more deafblind and psychosensory impaired people, with shorter waiting times. Creating new centers and new offices means being closer to people, where they live.” These are the words of Rossano Bartolipresident of the Lega del Filo d’Oro Foundation, an organization that has been working for sixty years to educate, rehabilitate and provide assistance and support to those who cannot see or hear and to their families.
The podcast “5 per thousand, change in your hands” talks about the daily work of the Foundation, now present in eleven regions of Italy. In recent years, Lega del Filo d’Oro has undertaken the path of growth with conviction, opening new Centers and Territorial Offices. This effort, he says Rossano Bartolipresident of the Foundation, was supported above all by the 5 per thousand contribution. Also in 2024, the 5 per thousand to the Lega del Filo d’Oro will serve «to stay ever closer to the people and to bring our support more widely throughout the Italian territory. In fact, with the 5 per thousand contribution for 2024, we want to open Territorial Offices in regions where we are not yet present, such as Calabria and Sardinia, and create a new Residential Center in Lazio. What the Italians allocate to us will also be used to continue to guarantee the high quality standards of the service and for the training of operators and volunteers”.

I often passed in front of the Molfetta office while going to see some customers. This curiosity then transformed into an active commitment and in fact today I am not only a supporter, but also an active volunteer of the Lega del Filo d’Oro. I am a company manager, I know what it means to invest in a collaborator and I know how much it costs in economic terms to correctly train an operator or a volunteer. I really appreciate that the 5 per thousand to the Lega del Filo d’Oro has been used over the years also to have more and more people correctly and uniformly trained throughout the national territory. It is a huge commitment, but necessary to give the right support to many people and their families.”
