Veroli murder, Dell’Uomo remains in prison: nine shots fired at his uncle and cousin. The autopsy yesterday

Veroli – Nine shots fired at the uncle and cousin. This is what emerged from the investigations into the murder which occurred on Sunday morning on land in Castelmassimo. Alessandro Dell’Uomo, a 48-year-old security guard, opened fire, killing his uncle, 85-year-old Silvio Scaccia, and seriously wounding the latter’s son, the lawyer from the Frosinone bar Mariano Scaccia. The lawyer is still hospitalized at the Spaziani hospital in Frosinone where he underwent a delicate surgical operation and since yesterday he would have been declared out of danger.

Also yesterday, an autopsy was performed on the victim’s body. A bullet that hit him in the face would have been fatal but we will have to wait for the medical examiner to file her report within 60 days to have certain elements. In the meantime, the magistrate’s authorization is awaited to return the body to the family and celebrate the funeral rite of the eighty-five year old.

The alleged murderer, Alessandro Dell’Uomo, remains in prison on heavy charges of voluntary manslaughter and attempted murder. During the warrant interrogation he apparently made use of the right not to answer before the judge who signed the precautionary custody order in prison.
