LIVORNO – An important initiative for raise awareness among the elderly on the scam issue. Given the growing number of incidents involving elderly people that have occurred in recent times, Monday 24 June (and no longer June 10th) at 4pm a meeting will be held with the company command Carabinieri of Livornoin the premises of parish of San Matteo (Via Provinciale Pisana 51). The change of the day is linked to the commitments of the Carabinieri command on the occasion of the counting of the elections.
The event is organized by the Don Renato Roberti Center together with the Centro Commerciale Naturale Fiorentina, with the patronage of the Zona Uno Council of Livorno and the collaboration of Aeroc and the Circolo Nonno Point, and is part of the initiatives for the celebration of the feast of Sant’Antonino.
The aim is to explain to people, especially the elderly, how to defend yourself from unscrupulous scammers, who on the phone or in person with the most disparate (credible) excuses try in every way to get money and jewels delivered. An opportunity to learn to recognize danger and know how to manage it in the best way.
