Tovo San Giacomo. Mourning in Tovo San Giacomo for the death of Stefano Pellegrino, 46 years old. The mayor, Alessandro Oddo, broke the news through a post: “There is news that you wouldn’t want to believe, but which then, unfortunately, becomes real and dramatic”, writes the mayor.
“Today Stefano Pellegrino suddenly passed away, who only yesterday turned 46. He was from Tovo even though his brilliant professional career had recently led him to live in Piedmont and before that, for several years, also in the USA. I had always known him: Marco, his older brother, and I were in the same class, we lived a few meters away and our families had also always known each other. I was always at Matteo and Antonietta’s house and Stefano, for me, in my eyes he was always the little one to play with.”
And he concludes: “Today, in the face of such a tragedy that affects so many people, words are superfluous and in any case difficult to find. Stefano leaves behind a wife, an almost ten year old daughter, Marco, dear Matteo and Antonietta, many friends and colleagues and the only thing I can do now is remember him in prayers and keep his smile in my closest memories of childhood”.
