In the ninth game it goes 40-30, then the opponents pardon the Azzurri with an error at the net, 40-40 and still hope for Bolelli and Vavassori who get a break point. A perfect smash from Pavic brings the exchange back to a draw and a new match point thanks to a super serve from Arevalo and this time the match ends, 6-3.
