The terrible crash occurred around 8pm, in Viale dell’Agricoltura, in the section that joins the Aurelia in the direction of Ceriale. Four vehicles were involved in the accident: an Opel, a Volkswagen T-Roc SUV, a Fiat Ducato van and a pizza delivery motorbike.

Four ambulances arrived on site, three from the White Cross of Albenga and one from the White Cross of Alassio, the Sierra 2 and Sierra 4 medical vehicles, the firefighters, several local police patrols and the Carabinieri.

Four were injured, the young man on board the motorbike with code red, in serious condition with multiple fractures to the femurs, fibula and tibia who was intubated, and three with code yellow; the injured were transported to the Santa Corona emergency room.

According to an initial reconstruction made by some witnesses, the Opel arrived from Alassio towards Ceriale, while the Volkswagen T-Roc, arriving from Viale dell’Agricoltura, entered the Aurelia towards Ceriale. The boy on the motorbike arriving from Ceriale was about to enter Viale dell’Agricoltura and was hit by the Opel. The motorbike and the boy flew several meters and, in the collision, the helmet worn by the young man apparently broke.
