Green light for the purchase of eight new electric city buses.

Green light from the Region for the purchase of eight new electric city buses – zero emissions and with related charging systems – to be included in the fleet of local public transport vehicles as additional buses that can also be used for new urban cross-border public transport services between Gorizia and Nova Gorica, in occasion of the Go!2025 European Capital of Culture event.

The measure aims to improve urban mobility, including cross-border mobility increasing the sustainability and attractiveness of the regional LPT system: the resources made available to the Regions derive from the Pr Fesr Program 2021-2027 and amount to a total of 3.9 million euros.

The eight new electric vehicles constitute apart of the total of eleven zero-emission buses which, thanks to resources made available by the Regionwill be purchased by the Tpl service manager of Friuli Venezia Giulia and put into service for the Go!2025 event.

For the fleet of vehicles for urban services in Gorizia, the Plan provides for an increase in the overall number of buses and the renewal of vehicles oriented towards zero emissions with the inclusion, by 2030, of a total of 17 electrically powered buses to also be used in cross-border transport.

The procedure, as explained by the regional councilor for Finance, provides for the Region to make available the resources of the Pr Fesr 2021-2027 Program for a amount of 3.9 million in favor of the entrusted management entity Tpl Fvg Scarl, through its consortium member Apt Spa of Gorizia which is entrusted with the management of the procedures necessary for the purchase of the eight new buses and the related charging infrastructure. An important result, it has wanted to highlight the councilor, who shows how great teamwork leads to the implementation of the Pr Fesr Program of European funds in favor of the development and sustainability of the regional territory.
