A serious accident occurred this evening in via Auricchio in Quadrelle near the stairs leading to the hill of Jesus and Mary. A young girl, resident in Sirignano and of foreign nationality, fell several meters down the sloping stairs. At the time of the accident, it is not known whether the young woman was in the company of anyone.
Residents of the area immediately sent a call for help to 118. The girl, left lifeless in a pool of blood, was quickly rescued and transported to the hospital in very serious conditions.
The Carabinieri of the Baiano Company also intervened on site and are conducting investigations to trace the exact dynamics of the accident. At the moment, no hypotheses regarding the causes of the fall have been ruled out.
