The president of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Arno Kompatscher, was received today (6 June) in Rome, at the Regional Affairs Department in via della Stamperia, by the Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies, Roberto Calderoli. Theme of the meeting was the reform of the Statutes of Autonomy.
The phase of the technical comparison common to all the «Specials» has ended, during which the limits to the exercise of legislative competences, the procedure for modifying the Statutes and the ordinary maintenance interventions of the same were discussed.
At the center of today’s political confrontation with Minister Calderoli and his head of Cabinet Claudio Tucciarelli, on the occasion of which President Kompatscher represented all the Regions and Provinces with special statutes as coordinator supported by the consultant Professor Daria de Pretis, there is those were the points still open.
«Today I expressed to the Minister and his collaborators the position of the Regions and Provinces with special statute on the common part of the reform, asking for two additions/amendments to the text regarding the limits to legislative competences and the function of the implementing rules», he explained after the meeting President Kompatscher.
«After a long discussion there was a rapprochement of positions, in the next few days we will try to formulate it in writing. But my first task now is obviously to organize a meeting with the presidents of the other Specials, to share this result”, added the president of the Province.
