More fires in the capital with an impressive number of fires, mostly forest and vegetation, which day after day involve more and more teams of firefighters and civil protection volunteers.
Hell of fire in Centocelle
The most relevant, the one that occurred in Centocelle where a large fire broke out in the late afternoon of today, 6 June, in Rome, in the V Municipality, in the Prenestino Labicano area, close to Centocelle. The flames broke out inside Villa De Sanctis, also known as “Parco Casilino-Labicano”, starting at 7 pm. The brushwood and vegetation caught fire between via dei Gordiani and via Romolo Trincheri, in an area close to the Teano and Gardenie stations of Metro C.
Citizens scared by high flames
The inhabitants of the neighborhood raised the alarm and, frightened by the high flames and the imposing column of smoke that rose into the sky, began to call the toll-free emergency number to request intervention.
Firefighters and 3 teams of civil protection volunteers are at work
Two fire brigade teams (12/A and 3/A) arrived on site with tankers as well as a task force of civil protection volunteers made up of three teams (Giannino Caria, Lupi and VI Gruppo) with pick-ups, beating, plus the Does working until 9.40pm to secure the entire area. Local police officers from Roma Capitale were also present to manage traffic. The causes of the fire are currently unknown.
