Salerno. The soldiers of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Salerno have reported two people, owners of separate commercial activities, for the crime of illegal exercise of the gold buying activity.
The two traders were operating without the required authorizations and the Financial Police seized valuables with a total value of over 50,000 euros.
The investigations, conducted by the Economic-Financial Police Unit, arose from an info-investigative activity aimed at combating money laundering. The investigations made it possible to discover that two gold buying shops were operating without the necessary registration with the Organization for the Management of the Lists of Agents in Financial Activities and Credit Mediators (OAM).
Inspections carried out at the commercial premises confirmed the irregularities and operations that did not comply with sector regulations.
The operation is part of the prevention and enforcement action carried out by the Financial Police to protect the integrity of the capital market.
