Moments of fear for a woman who, following the fire that broke out in an apartment on the fourth floor, had taken refuge on the balcony to escape the flames: the woman was rescued and saved by the Fire Brigade.
It happened yesterday evening, Tuesday 4 June, just before 10.30 pm, in a condominium made up of 12 apartments, in via Principe Umberto, in LegnagoIn the Veronese.
During the operations to put out the flames, the 19 people inside were evacuated from the entire building.
The teams arriving from the local detachment, from Verona and with the support of the Bovolone volunteers with three fire engines, a tanker, the ladder truck for a total of 17 operators, entered the building, already partially evacuated.
The residents were assisted on site by Suem staff: the woman saved from the burning apartment was transported and hospitalized. Another person was also taken to hospital and was immediately discharged.
The house affected by the fire was declared uninhabitable and the use of the apartment below was temporarily banned due to water infiltration.
The causes of the fire are being investigated by Fire Brigade technicians.
The teams’ operations to secure the condominium ended shortly before 4.00 am, with the residents returning to the apartments.
