MESSINA – The measure of precautionary custody in prison adopted in recent days by the policemen of the Messina Police Headquarters was carried out in recent days by order of the investigating judge of the Court of Messina, on the proposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Messina, against a forty-year-old man from Messina with strong suspected of crimes of domestic abuse and personal injury to his partner.
From the first investigations carried out by the State Police officers, repeated physical and psychological violence emerged that the woman would have suffered during the romantic relationship. In particular, there were multiple particularly serious episodes, even in the presence of minor children, due to unhealthy jealousy and the use of narcotic substances by the forty-year-old.
In one of these episodes, the man apparently caused his partner a broken hand, while in other circumstances he threatened her with death, severely limiting her personal freedom, even installing a camera in the house with remote control via mobile phone.
Finally, on the occasion of the latest episode, which took place in the first days of last May, the victim finally found the courage to call the single emergency number 112, thus allowing the intervention of the police officers who gave start of the necessary investigations from which the measure subsequently adopted by the judicial authority arose.
