A accident traffic occurred this morning on provincial road 16 between Cisternino And Ceglie Messapica. Five people were injured in the collision, which involved a lorry and an ambulance.
What happened
The intervention of the Fire Brigade of the Ostuni detachment was timely and fundamental in rescuing the injured and making the area of the accident safe. The driver of the lorry was stuck between the sheets of metal and the police had to intervene to extract him.
All the people involved in the accident were taken care of by the 118 personnel, who intervened on the scene with several ambulances. Their conditions are not yet known.
At the moment, vehicular transit on the SP 16 is interrupted to allow rescue operations and the safety of the road section. The police are also present on site to investigate the case.
