North, Roberto Vannacci he is at the bottom of the League’s lists for the European Championships. But Matteo Salvini decided to share the stage of the national event in Milan with him. And in two lines the general claimed his style, reference to the Decima Mas including: «You are my tenth legion. Vote Lega, write Vannacci and at your signal I will unleash hell.”
On the stage behind the Milan Cathedral before Vannacci there were governors (from Zaia to Fontana) who spoke about autonomy. And then the ministers of the League, except one, Giancarlo Giorgetti: officially for personal reasons. The only ones who tried to challenge Vannacci and Salvini – but from a distance – were around thirty antagonists and students, who were immediately removed by the police.
From the stage, Salvini said he was certain that the League – the first party five years ago – is recovering consensus, because it is “coherent” in asking less from Europe and also for its position on the war, in spite of a candidate general: «The Lega makes a sacred promise, never an Italian soldier to fight in Ukraine or Russia.” Then he greets the Democratic Party square from a distance. And he jokes that with Elly Schlein the center-right “will govern for thirty years”.
