CHIOMONTE – On the afternoon of Saturday 1st June there was a serious accident in Chiomonte, on the Monginevro state road 24. A Volkswagen SUV and a Ducati motorcycle were involved in the collision. The motorcyclist was hospitalized with a prognosis reserved for the CTO, while the two people in the car were taken to Susa hospital with a green code. According to initial reconstructions, the SUV was traveling towards Oulx from Chiomonte, and at the crossroads it was turning from the town towards Susa: during the turning maneuver there was a violent impact with the motorbike. The police, the advanced rescue ambulance of the Red Cross of Susa and the 118 helicopter rescue intervened on the spot: it landed at the sports field to recover the motorcyclist and transport him to the CTO of Turin.
