Bagnaia won the Sprint Race of the Mugello Grand Prix with a perfect race. The world champion preceded Marc Marquez and Pedro Acosta. Martin has retired.
Pecco Bagnaia wins the Sprint Race of Mugello Grand Prix. The world champion preceded the Spaniards Marc Marquez and Acosta. Fourth place for Morbidelli. Jorge Martin, the world championship leader, has retired.
Bagnaia made a rocket start
Martin on pole, Bagnaia and Vniales immediately behind, then Marc Marquez and Bastianini. So off we go. Pecco takes off like a rocket and immediately overtakes Martin, who is also passed by Bastianini. Binder is ahead of Marquez. Acosta goes back up with a nice overtaking on Vinales at Correntaio. Pure spectacle at Mugello in every corner, unfortunately Quartararo and Olivera crash.
Shortly afterwards there is a great duel between Bastianini and Martin, Enea gets the worst of it, the blue man flies away, luckily no physical problems for the Ducati centaur. Marc Marquez continues his climb and with 7 laps to go Jorge Martin passes. Marquez starts chasing Bagnaia, who however has a decent advantage. While Acosta climbs to fourth place.

Martin makes a mistake and retires
The gap between Marc Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia is always about a second, Martin tries to get under him but makes a mistake and ends up out. The world championship leader withdraws and will therefore see his rivals get closer.
Bagnaia wins and gets closer to Martin
Bagnaia feels Marc Marquez closer, but the Spaniard, after having halved the gap, makes a small mistake that brings him back to a second behind Pecco, who closes the race masterfully. Bagnaia precedes Marquez, Acosta and an excellent Franco Morbidelli. Both the world champion and Marquez gain ground on Martin in the world rankings.
