After more than a month’s break, at the end of the regional volleyball season, this afternoon the final phase of the women’s Liguria Cup will be played which will see Futura Ceparana, the only team from the Ligurian Levante still playing, engaged in the semi-final against the Genoese team Normac Vgp in a single match on a neutral pitch. It will be a very difficult match for coach Simoncini’s girls who will face a club that has a poisonous tooth due to: having narrowly missed out on promotion to B2 in favor of Celle Varazze with a gap in the standings of just one point and for the simultaneous relegation of the first team from B1. The precedents between the two teams in the recent play-offs saw Normac win both in Genoa and Ceparana in two fairly balanced matches. The Bolanese continued training for this final rush and recovered the central Barletta who was injured in Diano Marina.
So meet up today at 7pm at the “Paladiamante” in Genoa Bolzaneto where the other semi-final between Vasco Lanfranchi and Albaro volleyball will also be played a few hours before. The final will be scheduled for tomorrow at 4pm in the usual arena.
