Lung punctured by stab wound. Jeddi dies after the fight in the square

The conditions of Jeddi Osama (22 years old) were too serious due to the consequences of the blows he suffered during the brawl the other morning, and of the blow (perhaps inflicted from behind) which had pierced his lung: the young Italian citizen, born from a family of Moroccan origin, died yesterday in Ancona hospital where he was hospitalized in intensive care. A tragic epilogue for a bloody event that deeply shook the local community, for a fight that took place in Piazza Garibaldi, of unprecedented brutality, resulting in a stabbing that proved fatal for Jeddi. His body has not yet been returned to his parents as an autopsy will almost certainly be arranged. The conditions of the 17-year-old Tunisian, with police prejudice, hospitalized in Fermo, who actively participated in the brawl and was released in a state of freedom, remain serious, but not life-threatening. The Flying Squad of the Fermo Police Headquarters, however, arrested the 34-year-old Moroccan, asylum seeker and with no criminal record, for the crime of murder (validation of the arrest was scheduled for today); and a 22-year-old Egyptian, illegal, also with police prejudice, for aggravated brawling. The State Police cars, which intervened in Piazza Garibaldi the other morning, were able to stop all the participants in the brawl which broke out around 4am and continued for a good period of time. The officers also immobilized the 34-year-old Moroccan who, after having thrown himself against the three young North Africans, was still brandishing a knife as he approached the policemen, using the Taser to render him harmless. The investigations of the Flying Squad, directed by the local Prosecutor’s Office, are allowing the judiciary to reconstruct the incident for which no leads are excluded. Further useful details for the reconstruction of what happened may come from the video surveillance cameras that the investigators are acquiring. Meanwhile, yesterday, in the afternoon, the mayor Massimiliano Ciarpella participated in another safety committee held in the Prefecture (D’Alascio ensured greater controls) perhaps also with a view to the preparation of measures aimed at regulating, perhaps limiting it to specific time slots , frequenting the square at night, with the aim of stemming the recurrence of brawls and clashes between groups of foreigners, mostly North Africans.
