INFO ON THE MILAN-ROME FRIENDLY MATCH

AC Milan is pleased to announce that the Men’s First Team will travel to Australia at the end of May to play a friendly match against AS Roma in Perth, Western Australia. Scheduled for Friday 31 May in Perth, the match will take place at the Optus Stadium, a state-of-the-art multi-purpose facility capable of hosting up to 65,000 spectators. This visit marks AC Milan’s return to Australia after around 30 years, with the last visit dating back to 1993, when the Rossoneri played two friendly matches against the Australian national team in Sydney and Melbourne, led by then captain Franco Baresi.

Despite its long absence from Australia, AC Milan maintains a strong link with the country, boasting a fan base of over 2 million people and several active Fan Clubs in key cities such as Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. Across the Asia-Pacific region, AC Milan is the most followed Italian football team and has seen the greatest fan growth in this region, gaining 20 million fans in recent years.
