“Studying is child’s play.” This is the title of the meeting between Matteo Salvo, a teacher of memorization and rapid learning techniques, with the students of the schools of Pietrasanta, in the Lucca area. The initiative will be held on 21 and 22 May inside the Sala dell’Annunziata, in the cloister of the Sant’Agostino complex. «Speaking to the young community, offering them every useful idea for building the future, is one of the objectives we have always pursued», underlined the mayor of Pietrasanta, Alberto Stefano Giovannetti. The meeting with Matteo Salvo was thought of as an opportunity for girls and boys from primary schools to «enrich their personal “toolbox” and experiment with new forms of knowledge». The deputy mayor and councilor for public education Francesca Bresciani explained that «the second and third classes of the two comprehensive schools in the city will be the protagonists of this great educational opportunity. This extraordinary adventure was organized to support girls and boys in their studies and to give them the opportunity to have useful tools to take their first real big step towards adulthood, both for the choice of high school and, mainly, for the techniques and study methods that will enable them to obtain the desired results.”

Matteo Salvo, a graduate in Mechanical Engineering, is the first Italian to have won the title of Grand Master of Memory and obtained a Guinness World Record for his mnemonic abilities. Salvo is the first certified «Mind Maps» instructor in Europe, chairs the Italian Memory Sport Council and is also the owner of MindPerformance, a school in Turin that is dedicated to research and teaching memorization and rapid learning methods. «It is with great pleasure that I return to young people who too often think they have a problem or that they themselves are the problem when perhaps it is enough to learn the right method, it is enough to learn to learn».
