The positive ratings and reviews continue for Continental’s PremiumContact 7 in this year’s summer tire tests.
In his last summer tire test, the editorial team of the German automotive magazine Auto Zeitung (issue 7/24) named the PremiumContact 7 the “brilliant winner”. It achieved the highest scores in both dry and wet driving tests. The experts at Auto Zeitung tested nine tires in size 225/45 R 17 on a BMW 120i, covering a total of 13 disciplines. The test included products from European, Asian and American tire brands.
The PremiumContact 7 came out on top thanks to its confident handling characteristics on both wet and dry roads.
It recorded the shortest stopping distances on both surfaces and was a full 5.1 meters ahead of the worst performing tire in the wet braking test. The car equipped with these tires would still have had a residual speed of 30 km/h at the stopping point of the Continental-equipped car, the editors write.
In their summary, the editors highlighted the “superior performance in all conditions” provided by the PremiumContact 7. Its safety and comfort were “beyond doubt”.
The tire size 225/45 R 17 is suitable for compact and medium-large sized cars. Continental’s PremiumContact 7 is available in various sizes between 16 and 21 inches in diameter with widths between 205 and 285 millimeters and cross sections between 60 and 35 percent.
It is suitable for electric cars, hybrids, as well as cars and SUVs with internal combustion engines and features a special electric vehicle compatible logo on the sidewall.
Continental PremiumContact 7 in 2024 achieved the highest possible rating of “Exemplary” and second place overall in test published by the German trade magazine Auto Bild (edition dated 07.24.2024.
