On board the GNV motorboat ‘Suprema’ the students, coming from three different addresses, hotel, nautical and tourist, in the four days of navigation planned on the Genoa-Palermo-Genoa route they will be able to try their hand at the world of on-board work through 7 laboratories per deck, 5 laboratories for kitchens, 5 laboratories for machines, 3 laboratories for lounge/bar services, 2 laboratories for tourist addresses, 1 common orientation laboratory to discover aptitudes and dreams and 1 dedicated to education and training related to the world of the sea.

“Trying, learning, training in the field, this is the objective of Orientamenti-Sailor – declares the regional councilor for Training and Orientation Marco Scajola -. A large gym where you can learn more about work related to the world of the sea with specific laboratories, testimonials and professionals in the sector. We consider this initiative to be one of the flagships of the broader Orientations project because it allows young people to truly integrate into the workplace and thus be able to better understand their real interests and aptitudes. I believe that for all 230 participants, numbers constantly growing year after year, Sailor will certainly be an experience of absolute value. Orientamenti thus continues, with conviction, along the path it has undertaken which is that of an increasingly close link between training and work with dedicated events throughout the year”.

“Grandi Navi Veloci has always been committed to enhancing the professionalism linked to the maritime economy through training projects intended for its staff but also for the younger generations. This is why we are particularly happy to renew our contribution for the eleventh edition of SailOr, a project which, through the collaboration of public institutions and private bodies, aims to introduce young people interested in experiencing the environment first-hand to the world of work. maritime. – states Antonio Cecere Palazzo, GNV Armament Commander – This year we are hosting over 230 students from all over the national territory and also from France on board GNV Suprema. An important number, which demonstrates the effectiveness of this school-work alternation initiative during which we have the opportunity to pass on the thirty-year experience of our Company”.
