This morning, just before 9 am, teams of the Messina Fire Brigade intervened in a road accident involving a bus from the city’s municipal transport company. The personnel who also intervened from the northern detachment ascertained that the accident did not cause any injuries.
The vehicle, for reasons to be ascertained, was going to hit the guardrail surrounding Lake Ganzirri (Lago Grande), and a large pole passed through the entire interior of the passenger bus compartment and, fortunately, without hitting any of the few seated passengers.
After freeing and disengaging the vehicle from the large wooden pole and making the entire area involved safe, the firefighters returned to the site. The large ATM vehicle was hooked up by the tow truck and transported to the municipal warehouse. The municipal police are on site to carry out relevant investigations.
