A meeting full of ideas, opinions and freedom of thought “REUNION, LOCAL AND INDEPENDENT ARTISTS – A world to discover, value for every land”, held on Monday 6 May 2024 at THE ART GALLERY – IL MAGAZZINO BIANCO, in San Severo (Fg).
The debate open to artists, authors and the public saw the participation of Lello Minchillo, musician and painter, Luigi de Nisi, theater director and set designer, Simona Regina, singer-songwriter, Nazario Tartaglione, singer-songwriter and author of Il Manifesto dell’Artista Locale. Singer-songwriter Mario Mucedola participated with a video contribution. Also present were the photographer Antonio Soimero and the Salento videomaker and documentary maker Dario Brandi. The interaction with the public was also intense, full of opinions and significant considerations.
A vibrant evening of passion and attention for one’s land, through the rediscovery of the value of local and independent artists and authors, of whom some of the many activities carried out in favor of each town were remembered, such as the transmission of knowledge and training in art workshops, the narration of the territories, their figurative, photographic and pictorial representation, the interaction with bodies and institutions, the interaction with schools, the support of traditional teaching with creative techniques and ideational and intuitive thinking , the elaboration and valorization of the Mother Language, the invention of the Artistic Dialect, the contribution to the sense of territorial identity, the safeguarding and updating of tradition, the introduction to the arts and the fight against social hardship, the art therapy..
This contributed to increasing awareness of one’s role and social value, identifying models that escape the typical mass media and commercial dynamics.
The new ways of territorial digital communication were also evaluated, which allow the independent artist to be much more influential in public life than in the past. Among the sources of reflection, THE MANIFESTO OF THE LOCAL AND INDEPENDENT ARTIST, probably the first document of its kind in Italy dedicated to local artists and authors.
On the horizon is the creation of one or more days dedicated to the Local and Independent Artist and Author, with meetings and entertainment.
