In order to support cinematographic and audiovisual distribution, thepublic notice ‘Independent distributors‘ for the granting of contributions for cinematographic works, including animated works, documentaries and short films, distributed in cinemas. With this new call for 974,696 euros, the Lazio Region will finance the selected cinematographic and audiovisual projects.
The ‘Independent Distributors’ Notice, created with the support of the regional in-house company LAZIOcreatewill have a contribution of 50,000 euros for each cinematographic work, it being understood that each independent distributor can request the contribution for a maximum of 3 cinematographic works in total.
“Cinema and audiovisual are a strategic sector both at a national and territorial level and the Lazio Region with this notice wants to support film distribution. We are among the first Italian regions to publish a notice in this direction because, to support the works, there is a need to guarantee a qualified distribution of the cinematographic exercise, especially in contexts where this is sometimes lacking. We continue in our commitment to supporting the entire supply chain with important investments and today, with film distribution, we are adding an extra piece.
A first experiment which for 2024 sees a commitment of around one million euros and which we want to strengthen in the coming years with increasingly ambitious challenges”, declared the head of the Cinema and Audiovisual structure of the Lazio Region, Lorenza Lei.
