In addition to military equipment, 9 thousand people take part in the parade, one thousand of whom participated in what Putin calls a “special military operation”, the invasion of Ukraine. In the square together with the Russian president are the leaders of the main allied countries (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Cuba, Laos and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau). After the parade, Putin and his guests will attend a flower-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, then a reception will be held in the Kremlin.
