This morning, at the Auditorium of the “Regina Margherita – L. Da Vinci” Comprehensive Institute in Piazza Solimena 5, Avellino, the presentation ceremony of the school agenda “My Diary” took place. The event saw the participation of the highest authorities of the territory, demonstrating a joint commitment towards the problems and challenges faced by the Irpinia school.
Dr Fiorella Pagliuca, Director of the School Office, declared: “The highest authorities in the area are very sensitive in paying careful and constant attention to the problems and challenges that await all schools in Irpinia. The themes of legality and active citizenship are constantly crossed. Being all together to share paths of citizenship and legality is a clear sign of the great ability of all the institutions to network and team together. This is a sign for our kids which, in my opinion, is symbolically and substantially very effective.”
The Dr. Pasquale PiconePolice Commissioner of Avellino, added: “The most important message is to continue, to go beyond custom, beyond a predetermined path, to continue with studies, for young people, together with young people”.
The event underlined the importance of a collaborative approach between institutions, schools and law enforcement to promote fundamental values such as legality and active citizenship among young people. Dr Rossana Riflesso, Prefect of Avellino, concluded: “This is a further initiative in which I found myself involved at the last moment, having only arrived a few days ago. However, it clearly demonstrates the attention that the Police Headquarters and the School Office have for the issues of prevention and collaboration between the police forces and the school. But I would say above all the Prefecture. The Prefecture, as I understand it, must become a place of ideas, initiatives and collaborations, because it also has this task: acting in a network”.
