The Cicero Theater of Cefalù hosted an important event on the occasion of the awards ceremony of the competition “Enchantment among the Villages“. Organized by the Sicilian Musica per l’Uomo Association, the event aims to enhance the territory of Madonie and the Halaesa Valley through artistic creativity and audiovisual art. The main prize was awarded to the evocative video dedicated to village of Sant’Ambrogio, created by Geraldina Turdo with the collaboration of Roberta Barranco, Max Aiello and Emanuele Carlisi. The technical jury, chaired by the journalist Alessandro Matalone and composed of the mayors of the area, the parish priests of Cefalù and some image experts, decreed the video of Geraldina Turdo as the winner among the numerous participants. The video also received the Popular Jury Award, thanks to the votes of the public present in the room.

During the evening, eleven of the twenty videos in competition were screened to a room packed with spectators. All videos have in the soundtrack excerpts from famous soundtracks performed by the Choir of the Sicilian Musica per l’Uomo Association, directed by maestro Ildebrando D’Angelo and accompanied by the orchestra. This element added further elegance to the works presented. The event was inaugurated by the Association’s Choir, which enchanted the audience with an extraordinary performance. Daniela Guercio and Fabrizia La Spisa presented the evening with professionalism and elegance, creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere. One of the most touching moments was the artist’s monologue Liana D’Angelo. Conceived, written and performed by the artist from Cefalù, the monologue was presented in the theater for the first time during the event. The text, which deeply moved the public, recounts the last moments of his life Francesca Morvillo next to Giovanni Falcone. During the event, the mayors of the area were given the Tourist Guide for the residents of the Madonie and the Halaesa Valley, a precious tool for promoting local beauty and encouraging tourism. Furthermore, all participating videomakers received a certificate of merit for their commitment and talent. In addition to Geraldina Turdo, the winners were Fabiana Barbera, Lorenzo Bellino, Elisa Boscia, Giuseppe Cerami, Natale Civello, Aurelio Cristina, Sofia Favata, Alessandro Giacomo, Miranda Indulsi, Flaminia La Placa, Eleonora La Scuola, Salvo Messina, Giuseppe Nicchitta, Ileana Papano, Jessica Porretta, Martina Rinchiusa, Rosario Scelsi, Matteo Sottile, Dorian Valero, Valerio Vena and Asia Venturella.
