Taxi, Uiltrasporti: inconclusive meeting with Urso. May 21st is a strike

“The meeting we had today with Minister Urso was merely interlocutory and did not produce any concrete results. A situation that made it necessary to declare a national strike for 21 May 2024 from 08:00 to 22:00, a protest that will be carried out while still guaranteeing the social transport service for the elderly, disabled and sick”.

Thus the General Secretary Claudio Tarlazzi and the National Secretary Marco Verzari of Uiltrasporti commented on the meeting held today at Mimit on the Taxi issue.

“The minister – continue Tarlazzi and Verzari – has, in fact, passed the responsibilities to the Ministry of Transport regarding the stalemate over the texts of the implementing decrees and the Prime Ministerial Decree of which, to date, the definitive texts are not known, and has not fully clarity about the meeting held at the ministry with the global head of UBER.

The decrees on the National Electronic Register and on the Service Sheet, as well as the Prime Ministerial Decree for the regulation of Electronic Platforms, are fundamental for the reorganization of the sector which currently sees a very high rate of illegal activity favored by the lack of certain rules for everyone.
