It was a day to forget yesterday at the Nuova Fiera di Roma, where the written test of the competition procedure reserved for the applicants of the 2017 school manager competition took place in absurd conditions, a test foreseen by the Ministerial Decree prot. 107 of 8 June 2023, implementing art. 5 of the legislative decree of 29 December 2022, n. 198, converted by law 24 February 2023, n. 14.
Over 4 hours of delays, a nauseating smell of sewer, sickness and fainting among the candidates.
“We are receiving a series of complaints from all over Italy regarding what happened yesterday during the reserved managers competition – explains the General secretary of Uil Scuola Rua Giuseppe D’Aprile -. The competition, which had a participation cost of 350 euros, took place in inappropriate conditions: it started 4 hours late and with the smell of sewage in the room.”
Furthermore, 24 hours later, the results of a computerized test arrive, although the candidates should have known the results immediately.
“This competition – continues the Secretary – was also announced to resolve a mass of disputes that have been ongoing since 2017 and instead it has created even more confusion. One of the most serious aspects is that the company appointed by the ministry to manage the competition was not aware of the foreign language questions for individual candidates”.
The result? Candidates were assigned 20 language questions (French, English, German and Spanish): 5 to be selected immediately by the candidate based on the chosen language and 15 to be excluded without a specific directive.
Not only that, to make matters worse, the candidates only learned of this serious programming error at the beginning of the test.
The Uil Scuola Rua expresses solidarity with the many colleagues who have paid the costs of yet another episode of disorganization by the Ministry.
“On this matter – concludes D’Aprile – we will ask for clarifications”.
