Some robbers blew up the ATM of the Riviera Banca branch in the Il Diamante shopping centre, but something went wrong and one of them suffered very serious injuries to his right arm and other parts of his body.
Robber loses arm
The injured man is a 36-year-old Romanian national: he lost part of his body in the explosion right arm and was injured at bust et al face. The police, who arrived on site shortly after the explosion, found him dying among the rubble.
The military hypothesizes that the man was not alone, but that he was abandoned by his accomplices when they realized that the attack was now over.
