SENIGALLIA – The Democratic Party of Senigallia is happy to invite citizens to meet with the Hon. Nicola Zingaretti, candidate in the European elections which will take place on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June. The meeting will be held on Thursday (May 2) at the headquarters of the Democratic Party, in Via Arsilli 94, from 5.30 pm

Nicola Zingaretti was a European parliamentarian from 2004 to 2008, president of the province of Rome from 2008 to 2012 and president of the Lazio region from 2013 to 2022.

With the 2019 primaries he became secretary of the Democratic Party; he was until March 2021.

With the elections of 25 September 2022 he became a member of the Chamber of Deputies.

According to Zingaretti, with everything that is happening in Italy, building the alternative is a duty.

Two different ideas will confront each other about Europe: the right of nationalism, the selfishness of states and the possibility of building a stronger, more protagonist and above all more human Europe! A Europe that creates justice for people and the planet, creates jobs and fights exploitation, promotes peace and stops wars, believes in freedom against dictatorships, invests in knowledge to give girls and boys a tomorrow. During the difficult years of COVID we fought and obtained the Next generation EU, billions of euros for the fight against inequalities, for work, healthcare, training, the ecological and digital transition.

Europe is often absent but the fault lies with nationalisms that don’t want it to be there. A stronger and more human Europe represents the hope of living in peace and with more justice for all.
