A NEAPOLITAN COMPANY WINS THE SCHOOL CANTEEN CONTRACT

The Rica company from Somma Vesuviana won the contract for school meals announced by the Municipality of Sulmona. This is a real surprise after all the controversies raised in recent months around the distribution of meals in the city’s schools. The fact is that the school lunch service, starting from next September and for a period of four years, will be managed by the Neapolitan company that won the tender based on the criterion of the most economically advantageous offer.

The service contract has a tender amount of 2,016,000.00. The award decision will be published in the next few days. The current managers will remain behind the stove until May 31st, by virtue of the extension.

Three companies participated in the tender, including ATI which has so far managed school meals, guaranteeing the traceability of products purchased in the area. However, the necessary checks will be required on the awarding methods, especially with reference to the price. So everything is still possible as well as possible appeals by the companies that arrived behind the Rica di Somma Vesuviana.
