Senorbì, the gas network arrives at the power station via Carlo Sanna

The works for the construction of the fixed gas network have recently reached the heart of the town of Trexenta. After having carried out the works in via Lonis, in the stretch of road that connects via Carlo Sanna with the historic centre, the workers of the project’s contracting companies have now arrived in the very central via Sanna, in the direction of Cagliari.

Interventions aimed at completing an infrastructure that has been awaited in the area for at least twenty years now continue unabated: the work will allow economic savings which will be even more significant thanks to the arrival of methane in Sardinia. These days, precisely because of the importance and centrality of the route that crosses the town center in two (it is the street of shops and offices), the residents of Senorbì have to live with some inconveniences due to traffic limitations.

The gas network management project arises from a program agreement signed by the administrations of the countries belonging to the Trexenta basin and has the objective of supplying gas in the inhabited centers of Senorbì, Ortacesus, Selegas, Barrali, San Basilio, Goni, Pimentel , Siurgus Donigala, Mandas, Gesico, Guamaggiore and Suelli (lead country). This is an investment that in total is close to 10 million euros. «It will not only be the citizens who will benefit, but also the companies who will be able to significantly reduce their energy costs», underlines Alessandro Pireddu, mayor of Senorbì.
