Allman Brothers Band, co-founder Dickey Betts dies

The birth of the myth

Betts, in 1969 he was together with Duane Allman in the group of founding musicians of Allman Brothers Band. Soon after the three-hour jam session that gave birth to the band he also joined Gregg Allman on vocals and keyboards.

In 2014 he definitively abandoned the music scene. In 2018, a domestic accident forced him to undergo delicate brain surgery.
