CASIER – Profound tragedy throughout Marcaz: Matteo, a 20-month-old child, was the victim of a terrible accident. The Vidali family, devastated by grief, remained silent. While his father, Olaf, was maneuvering the car in the courtyard of the house, little Matteo was hit in the head and, despite being promptly taken to hospital, he lost his life in the night between Monday and Tuesday.
The Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation for manslaughter, but for the Vidali family the pain is already unbearable. Days of anguish and remorse alternated while the local community showed its support and closeness.
The history of the Vidalis is marked by tragedies: already in 2019 they had lost a premature baby and now they have to face the loss of their beloved Matteo. Mayor Carraretto expressed the need for continuous and present support from the entire communitywhile the school teachers offered to help Matteo’s little sister and made psychological support available.
Dosson rallies around the Vidali family in a moment of profound pain. The date of the funeral will be announced in the next few days.
