SUSTAINABLE RECONSTRUCTION, MEETING AND PRESS CONFERENCE IN NAPLES

On the occasion of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the definition of the landscape aspects of the Reconstruction Plan of the Municipalities of Casamicciola Terme, Forio d’Ischia and Lacco Ameno affected by the earthquake of 21 August 2017 and the flood of 26 November 2022, it took place this afternoon a meeting and press conference at the Giovanni Carbonara Room in the Royal Palace of Naples. Mariano Nuzzo ABAP Superintendent of Naples Metropolitan Area, Bruno Discepolo Regional Councilor, attended the meeting called by the Department of Territorial Government and Urban Planning of the Campania Region and by the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Metropolitan Area of ​​Naples. to the Territorial Government, Luciano Schifone Councilor of the Ministry of Culture for the South, and the mayor of Lacco Ameno Giacomo Pascale. The Protocol represents an important step forward in the sustainable reconstruction of the areas affected by the seismic events of 21 August 2017 and the flood of 26 November 2022, and is the result of joint work between the Regional Department and the Superintendency, which aims to define the landscape aspects of the Reconstruction Plan, thus integrating the protection of cultural heritage with the needs of territorial redevelopment. The Campania Region is working incessantly to guarantee a respectful reconstruction of the landscape fabric of the Island of Ischia and, in this sense, the Reconstruction plan will not only allow public and private interventions in an orderly and safe urban context, but will also guarantee coherence with regional planning guidelines.
