The High Representative for Foreign Policy of the EU Joseph Borrell met the High Chief of British Diplomacy, David Cameron in Capri.
Borrell on X announced his meeting with Cameron at the end of the meeting of G7 foreign ministers on 17-19 April in Capri.
Borrell expressed that there had been an exchange of information with Cameron in relation to Ukraine and the Middle East, underlining the need to urgently provide the necessary support for the defense of Ukraine against Russia and to intensify assistance efforts .
Borrell also appealed to avoid a possible escalation in the Middle East while increasing aid to Gaza and applying pressure for the release of prisoners.
Foreign ministers from the G7 countries, including the United States, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Canada and Japan, met under the rotating presidency of Italy to discuss the issues on the international agenda.
