Tuscany confirms itself at the top not only for athletic performances, but also for the organization of cycling events of international importance. Among these, the Tour de France stands out which will start from Florence on 29 June, but attention is also paid to “Toscana Tricolore 2024”, a circuit which includes eight events awarding 25 titles in the road, track and off-road disciplines. The official presentation was held today at Palazzo Sacrati, headquarters of the Tuscany Region, with the participation of key figures such as the governor Eugenio Giani, the president of the Federciclismo Cordiano Dagnoni, and other important representatives of national and local cycling.

The event saw the participation of authorities and representatives of the 11 municipalities involved and the 8 organizing companies, further consolidating the region’s role as the “cradle of cycling”. Among those present were figures of the caliber of Paolo Sangalli, coach of the women’s national team, and former cyclists such as Andrea Tafi and Elisabetta Nencini.

“Toscana Tricolore 2024” pays homage to cycling legends such as Gino Bartali, Alfredo Martini, Gastone Nencini and Franco Ballerini, and also remembers Antonio Panico, Roberto Seripa and Nilo Nardini, three amateur cyclists who tragically passed away in 2022. The event promises to be an event unmissable for around 2,500 athletes, consolidating Tuscany as a point of reference in the international cycling panorama.
