Telling it is important – explains EMERGENCY -. Because war is the problem and not the solution and, whether on the border of Ukraine, in the center of Gaza or in the heart of Sudan and everywhere else, civilians are the first victims, always. And even when the information spotlight on the emergency of a conflict goes out, the war continues to cause victims and have serious consequences for the country that is the theater of it”. The meeting will open with the testimonies of the guests: all people who have chosen to take part with comics, facts, numbers or words. The guests will be introduced and moderated by Nogaye Ndiaye, who will launch polls to present the topics of each speech to which the students connected via streaming will respond. Questions and answers will also stimulate the speakers and the debate that will take place in the room with different opinions, reflections and points of view. Moving from an immediate language such as comics to a historical perspective, from the role of numbers in the story of a war to a reflection on the complexity of the topics linked to the story of a conflict and the difficulties of informing in a neutral way, the initiative will be a stimulus for delve into the reasons and at the same time the need to put conflicts out of history. To finally arrive at a world without more war. (AGI)
