Rimini, 18 April 2024 – Deep pain, tears and emotion at the Volta-Fellini high school in Riccione for the premature death of the teacher Diana Soriniwhich occurred tragically road accident between Cappone and Capponello di Vallefoglia on Tuesday, while he was returning from school to his Urbino. Several roses were placed in the teachers’ lounge yesterday. In fourth grade they showed up dressed in black.

There was deep silence in the classrooms, interrupted only by sobs of crying. A design teacher in graphic and multimedia disciplines, Sorini, who would have turned 65 on July 29, was an institution for everyone.

He had entered in the same school, formerly an Art Institute, in 1994. To bring condolences and share the pain with the students of his classes, a third and a fifth of Audiovisual and a fourth of Graphics, with the vice Simona Andruccioli, yesterday it was Principal Paride Principi: “Diana had a very high sense of duty, she was very active and linked to the students, concerned about their profit, their professional opportunities and dedicated to their cultural growth, well-liked and loved by all, because she was jovial, helpful, courteous, strongly committed. She has always spent a lot of money. Even though she lived in Urbino, she was present on every occasion. She was responsible for Pcto (once a school-work alternation), she took care of the organization of internships and agreements with companies. She participated in all the initiatives.”

She’s shocked colleague Serenella Gennari, her classmate at the Urbino Art Institute: “We have always loved each other very much. As I always tell the kids, Diana enlightened me, she made me understand how to study, it was an innate quality in her. Last year week we spent four days together in Turin to visit the Tim Burton exhibition, she was enthusiastic, as always full of joy in life. She helped everyone, she was wonderful, energetic and enthusiastic, loved by her boys, who were treated like children who in his fifth year wore a costume with the image of his face for the hundred days of graduation. School and family were his life.

Expresses condolences the Riccione administration in rallying around family members, colleagues, principal, high school students. “They have lost a competent and passionate teacher – observes deputy mayor Sandra Villa –. Last October Sorini, in collaboration with the Municipality, coordinated the artistic project for the finishing of the exhibition ‘A life against the mafia'”.
