The oilthe main ingredient of the Mediterranean diet, is a gastronomic excellence of our country and, in particular, of Veneto, a region that boasts a centuries-old tradition in the production of great oils. To celebrate the diversity of Italian olives and promote the stories of the producers, the authoritative food and wine magazine Red shrimp analyzed 679 extra virgin labels, highlighting 191 prominent products and 34 of decades of excellence.
Among the 6 brands that achieved the maximum score of Three Leaves in the prestigious Italian Oils Guide, three are from Verona. The three Veronese olive growing companies that obtained the recognition were, in fact, rewarded for the excellence and qualitative offering of the products.
The new Oli d’Italia 2024 guide, presented at Vinitaly in Verona, told the story, the change and the challenges that an excellent and very high quality product like extra virgin olive oil has to face today.
